Terms of Use

1. Scope

These terms govern your use of this website and of the ScanLocker application. Installing or using ScanLocker means you accept them. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to a copy obtained from the App Store, and where that agreement and these terms conflict on a point it covers, that agreement prevails.

2. Your licence

Zirkon LLC grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use ScanLocker on Apple devices that you own or control, on the terms Apple sets for App Store distribution. We keep every other right in the software, in its name, and in its design.

You agree not to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application, except to the extent that law expressly permits despite this restriction.

3. Lawful use

You agree to use ScanLocker only for material you have the right to hold, and only in a manner the law of your jurisdiction allows. You remain responsible for what you store in it.

4. Your material and your copies

What you save in ScanLocker stays yours. It is held on your device under encryption, and we receive no copy of it and no key to it, so we can neither read it nor restore it. Losing the device, deleting the application, forgetting the Locker Page Pin, or restoring a backup will lose the contents permanently. Keep an independent copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.

5. No warranty

ScanLocker and this website are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the software will run without interruption or error, or that it fits a purpose you have in mind for it. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, and in those places this section applies only as far as it may.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Zirkon LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damage, or for loss of data, arising out of your use of ScanLocker or this website. Our total liability on any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the application in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, and in those places this section applies only as far as it may.

7. Encryption and export

ScanLocker contains cryptographic functionality, using the standard algorithms supplied by Apple's platform. You agree to observe the export control laws that apply to you, and not to use or transfer the application where those laws prohibit it.

8. Changes

We may revise these terms. A revision takes effect when it appears on this page under a new date, and continuing to use the software after that date accepts it.

9. Governing law

The law of the State of NM, United States, governs these terms, without regard to its conflict of law rules. The courts sitting in NM have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
