What the app collects

Nothing. ScanLocker has no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no crash reporting. Only Apple's own frameworks run inside it. The app opens no internet connection of its own, and the Security tab reports whether it has stayed offline. The App Store privacy label for ScanLocker reads Data Not Collected, and the App Privacy Details page lists every category behind it.

What stays on this iPhone

Pictures and text you save are encrypted as you save them and stored only on this iPhone. The keys that open them are kept in this iPhone's Keychain and are never copied to iCloud or to another device. Nobody, including the developer, can read what you keep here.

What leaves only when you send it

A copy leaves this iPhone only when you start one of three actions: sending an item through the iOS Share Sheet, saving pictures to Photos, or transferring your contents to a nearby iPhone running ScanLocker. The app notes each share and each save on the Security tab. Whatever receives a copy then keeps it under its own rules.

Device permissions

The app asks iOS for the camera to photograph documents, for Photos to import or save pictures, for Face ID to unlock the app when you have switched that on, and for the local network and Bluetooth to transfer contents to a nearby iPhone. Each permission serves that one purpose and nothing about its use is reported anywhere. You can withdraw any of them at any time in iPhone Settings under Privacy & Security. Each prompt is quoted on the Device permissions page.

Consent

The app asks for no consent to collect, because it collects nothing. There is nothing to withdraw and nothing to request a copy of.

Deletion

Deleting an item removes it from this iPhone. Deleting the app removes every file it stored. The next install of ScanLocker wipes any keys the previous install left in the Keychain before it saves anything new. The Deleting your data page walks through each step.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, embeds no tracking pixel, and loads no font, script, or image from a third party. Reading it tells us nothing about you beyond what serving a page requires.

Our hosting provider records ordinary web server information, including the requesting network address and the page requested, to deliver the site and to defend it from abuse. We use that information for no other purpose, we build no profile from it, and we pass it to nobody.

Writing to one of our published addresses sends us your message and your email address. We keep that correspondence for as long as answering it and honouring any commitment in it requires, and we use it to answer you and for nothing else.

Children

Our software is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no information from anyone at all.

Your rights

Laws in several places give you the right to see the personal information a company holds about you, to correct it, and to have it erased. We hold none from use of the application. Where we hold correspondence you sent us, write to contact@zirkon.services and we will show you what it contains or delete it, within 30 days.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new text appears here and in the App Store listing with the version that carries it.
